Tour Time Golf's Rules

General +
  • Tournaments are single-day team tournaments, played over a consecutive set of tee times.
  • Teams consist of 2 players.
  • Tournaments have 2 formats: Best Ball and Scramble
  • Each team will use the digital interactive scorecard provided.
  • All tournaments will require players to ride in carts.
Gameplay +
  • Each team will fill out their score and verify opponents score on digital score card provided in the Tour Time App. This will be done hole by hole to ensure integrity of all scores.
  • Teammates may provide advice to each other throughout the tournament.
  • All rangefinders and electronic measuring devices are permitted.
  • All USGA rules apply.
  • All Local course rules apply.
  • No gimmies, all putts must be completed.
  • Maximum score of 10 on all holes.
Scramble +
  • All players must tee off from proper tee box on each hole as indicated.
  • Each team must select their most desirable shot and play the following tee shot from there. This continues until the hole is complete.
  • Team members must hit all shots from within one a single club length of the selected shot.
  • Players moving their ball to their selected shot may place their ball for best lie, however, they may not move the ball to improve the type of lie they have.
  • The player’s ball that is selected may not improve their lie.
  • Once on the green, the selected shot must be marked before any putt is made.
  • The score is recorded as if the team is a single player.
Best Ball +
  • Each Player must tee off from proper tee box on each hole as indicated.
  • Each player on the team plays their own ball throughout the round.
  • The lowest score or best ball of the group serves as the team’s score. For Example, Team 1 consists of player A and player B. Player A scores a 6 and player B scores a 4, the lowest score or best ball is 4 from player B. The team will record 4 on their scorecard.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I register for a tournament, what's included? +

When you register for a tournament, you are paying your prize pool entry fee plus the applicable discounted green fees. Green Fees vary depending on member or non-member status at the golf club hosting the tournament. Green fees include cart and range balls.

Can players of different skill levels compete in tournaments on the same team? +

Yes, golfers of all skill levels can compete in the same tournament. We have designed the game play rules to follow standard USGA handicapping for team play. This gives all players of different skill levels the chance to have fun and compete against one another. It is important that all players submit their current, accurate USGA handicap as part of their player profile.

What happens if the tournament is cancelled due to weather? +

All players will receive a full credit which will be refunded into their user account.

What are my withdrawal options? +

Users can withdraw any or all of their account balance at any time be selecting “Withdraw” from the account page and entering in the withdrawl amount up to the account balance and selecting “Accept”. Tour Time Golf uses the services of Divisible Inc. to process withdrawl requests and users will receive an email from Dots with further instructions on completing the immediate funds transfer.

What happens if someone is cheating on their handicap or in gameplay? +

Tour Time Golf is committed to fair play and will constantly be monitoring and assessing users' handicaps. Cheating on handicap can result in forfeiture of prize money, suspension, or removal from the platform. Also if someone is reported to be cheating on any rules set forth in the Rules section, it can result in forfeiture of prize money, suspension, or removal from the platform.

Can I request a private tournament? +

You can reach out to Tour Time Golf through various contact methods to request private tournaments for your group. The tournaments will be accessible on the app and will require a special link to register.

Can my private golf course have tournaments? +

Yes, your private golf course can host tournaments too. Tour Time Golf can set up tournaments only accessible to members.
